Diode Dynamics Fog Light Issue

Hi All:

Today I noticed my FRS fog lights were no longer turning on -- Upon inspection I had discovered this:

I'm currently not sure what caused this to melt... Currently fog lightless.

Opened up a trouble ticket already, would be great if @Diode Dynamics could expedite the process.

Or maybe you could wait for the vendor to respond to your trouble ticket before you came on here to complain about it. Give them the chance to show their good service and handle it.

@N1rve,

Our customer service team is working on your service ticket

Give us a call at your earliest convenience and we will help you troubleshoot the issue and provide warranty replacements if needed: (314) 205-3033

That ring-terminal ground connector needs to be attached to your negative battery battery terminal. Having an insufficient ground will prevent the fog lights from functioning correctly.

Additionally, if you had them on a chassis ground (close to a manifold etc.) it may have caused the insulation to melt. Placing the ground on a painted surface will also cause issues. It's possible that your ground may have just come loose from road-vibrations.

Thanks,
Nick C.

I didn't have any defamation statements about Diode Dynamics.
