Deadly deal | Mishimoto MMCK-BRZ-13BK Cooling Kit for Subaru BRZ

Got it from FB.
Hey Guys - Just want to give everyone a heads up on this - Saw this on Amazon.First thought was that it's got to be some mixup or not legit. Talked to Mishimoto about it and it IS a legit product kit. Amazon just has the price wrong and they are 'working' on fixing it. If anything i've learned about e-commerce is correct, this might be a good chance to get a killer deal. Even if they fix it after you buy it, i doubt they'll ask you to pay more, and they certainly can't force you. So - worth a shot, nothing to lose really for $130.

Is this thicker than the stock rad? is it a direct replacement from the OEM rad? not sure how much more it can be efficient if it the same thickness..

When you search the exact same part number that is listed on Amazon, it pulls up other vendors selling for ~$130 as well. I'm not convinced this is the same radiator that Mishimoto lists as $420.

On the flip side, I don't really know what else it could possibly be... weird.

Hmmm....seems legit? According to Mishimoto's site all these parts would be ~$700 retail.

I just added it up too. It's an Amazon Prime item sold by Amazon. If it turns out wrong it shouldn't be too hard to get money back.

@Mishimoto?

I just went to checkout and noticed:
  • Mishimoto MMCK-BRZ-13BK Cooling Kit for Subaru BRZ $129.11 - Quantity: 1
Usually ships within 1 to 2 months.
    Sold by: Amazon.com LLC
I think I still might buy it - I mean, they have to honor the price.. If not, I'll just get my money back. After being burned for thousands of dollars by FA20Club, nothing can be as bad as that.

I have Mishimoto's Oil Cooler. I had an issue with the plate and their customer service was great; sent me out a replacement instantly. The banjo fitting was being a pain in the ass, took me a while to get it to stop leaking though. Even now, it still has a drop every now n then.. But it functions great.

EDIT: I bought it. The wait begins.

Just spent $$$ thanks to you

EDIT: it's worth the wait even if that is a real shipping time frame, the worst that can happen is amazon refuse the sale and refund the money. I purchased a set of (4) 17X9 RPF1's on ebay for $256 shipped. Obviously it was a typo. Apparently the seller was "sold out" and cancelled my order and issued me a refund. Worth a shot.

What's the worst that can happen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Half tempted to buy several and resell for a profit.. but 1) seems a bit risky and 2) kind of a **** move

Edit: didn't realize **** was sensored.. of all the things.

Ha, I thought the same thing but decided against it. Really looking forward to how this plays out. We'll have to keep this thread alive if the sales really go through.

According to Mishimito, it is:

...34mm thick, which is over twice the thickness of the stock radiator...adding 46% cooling capacity...

Edit: I can say "fuck" but not "****" (richard)
