thought that was pretty cool cause you wouldn't need to use the outlet next to the cup holders!

also were looking into doing the 3 brake light...i'll post some pics of the installation as well as a install video!

Thanks!

I figured everyone knew that was there already :)

I was trying to think of things this would be useful for and then it hit me: those times when you go away from home, forget your phone charger (wall plug), and need to charge your phone in the car overnight. Completely safe, secure, and out of sight in the glove compartment.

Besides the obvious of course, such as permanent installations like radar detectors and whatnot.

edit: does this outlet give power when the car is off? the one in the center console doesn't

I DIDN'T KNOW! Thank you, I've never sat in the passenger seat of my car, lol

Looks likes some peeps need to read that manual! I bet you're missing out on more than just an outlet!

WRXGuy1 06-04-2012 01:12 PM

I like the location of that as having a radar detector run over the center console looks horrible.

If the plug in the glovebox is keyed to the ignition (Subaru style) that's awesome. It'll be good to draw power from for other stuff. Additionally, I like the location because I can plug in my phone and toss it into the glovebox for long trips. Since it's connected by bluetooth, there's no other wires needed. Might as well stash it away.
