Yeah it's not looking pretty for the next few days :mad0260:

I'd like to clay bar mine, but I'm scared to even touch the paint :scared0016:

Youll want to polish after claying bc claying can cause minor scratches.

I finished claying mine last night. It's super difficult to find light scratches on wrb paint, but I know they're there bc they can be seen under the sun. I'll probably just find a good sunny day to inspect and polish the paint.

I'll be topping it off with some opticoat

Btw, I couldn't find much contaminants on the claybar after I was done claying. Unlesa you're shooting for showcar look, a good wash and wax/sealant will be enough imo.

I was camping Friday night. It rained like crazy. Woke up to abandoned camp sites all around us. Apparently the wind had messed up lots of the other tents. We stayed dry but it was loud.

Today was pretty good actually, but yes, the weather this week is going to suck :(

No rain at the Vineyard today. Back on the mainland, however...

You're on the Vineyard? I grew up there, was a year-rounder up until I graduated college. My parents still live there.

I went to Canobie Lake Park in NH yesterday with some friends - my work gave me free tix for one day only. The weather just barely held out for us to have a good time yesterday. We got a little damp riding the rollercoasters but otherwise it was a good time!

Yesterday was better than they predicted. I went to a Subaru meet up in Tilton, NH and it was just mostly cloudy with a bit of sun now and then, perfect for taking photos of cars without getting too hot.

Nah, I'm not a local. I meant to say "There was no rain at the Vineyard". We went to visit for a day and it wasn't too bad, even though it was a bit chilly and windy. The back door donuts made it all worthwhile :bonk:, so I was satisfied.

I don't know how you folks do it, but life on the Vineyard is definitely something else.

I don't mind vacationing over at the Vineyard, but I do wonder the same thing too.

Yeah, too rich for my blood. Very easy living though if you've got the money.

Actually my parents are not rich...My mother is a retired school teacher, my father is a retired general contractor. Neither of which made a ton of money. People who live on the island year round are usually not rich...people who have summer houses and weekend houses are the rich ones. My parents do not own a second home, their house on the vineyard is their only home and they worked their asses off for 20 years to pay for it, they bought property there before I was born when it was cheap 27 years ago. Other than food and gas being moderately expensive, everything else isn't bad, plus you don't really have to drive anywhere so you save on gas and insurance rates are low comparatively since there is a very low theft rate (where are they gonna go? All cars have to leave the island by boat.) My parents pay $2100 a year to insure 3 cars (theirs and my truck) and the majority of that insurance goes to paying to insure my truck since it's in Somerville year round.
