A question to Volk racing TE37SL owners

How do the wheels feel compared to stock? I'm looking into getting the 18x8.5 and they're 17.5 pounds, 2.5 pounds less than stock, you like em?

I don't have Volks, but have always wanted some. The specs on the wheels you have chosen are perfect. I'm sure I am not the only one that is a little jealous.

As to how they "feel", that will have more to do with your tire choice. 225/40 or 245/35 are the sizes most choose. I am partial to Michelin tires, and would go with MPSS or AS3. Track/AutoX guys will offer other tire suggestions, if that is your intention.

Good Luck!

I have never been able to "feel" lighter wheels.

You won't really "feel" it. You will, however, notice that if you drag race a stock FRS/BRZ, you'll pull a bit. Not a ton, but enough to matter.

Thanks man! Appreciate it!
I have been thinking about the as3. Do you have it or have you just thought about it?

Really? I feel like 10 pounds of rotational weight being taken off the wheels would make a difference. .

How does the torque response feel?

Another thing to note is not just weight.. your pushing that weight out farther. there have been tests done that shown just because the wheel weighed less, didn't mean it helped and in some cases hurt..

No change. You're not changing engine output, only the rotational inertia at every corner.

I had Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus. The AS3 replaced them. I really liked my AS Plus tires. I have MPSS now. I love them! Great summer tires.

I have 18x9.5s with 265/35s.

The setup is a bit heavier than the stock setup I'm sure but the car grips and drives much better now between that no the alignment changes.

All I need now is more power lol

That's what I meant. Sorry.
