Thank you - the previous owner made the decision and it is primarily what attracted me to this car in particular (it also has an axleback from ft86 - the car looks and sounds like it's from a video game). I intend on keeping the wraps shape even after I get carbon bits :3

Though the paint absolutely needs quite a few touch ups (looking for suggestions in San Diego) and a re-wrap.

This thread is pretty much inactive. There are quite a few of these around in these parts (T.O. / Ventura County)

What's the scene like around here? Any C&C or cruises? Sideshows? Anything? I see a lot of pretty cars around, but rarely see anyone gathering or crusing. Is it the COVID?

Most likely COVID related. I help run the OC86 down in Orange County, we stopped doing meets since quarantine started in March. Other car groups in the area attempted to start up again, but there's cases of someone being sick being at the meets, and it's been dead or minimally advertised ever since.

Just moved to OC from San Jose. Are meet ups coordinated in here mainly or on Insta etc?

Would like to know this as well, as I've been inactive for quite some time.

Most of the meets ive been to have been either coordinated on facebook or instagram. There is also http://www.socalcarculture.com/events.html which shows a lot of meets happening in the current month, also shows which are cancelled or postponed.

Hey guys, new to the board here. I'm a soon to be BRZ owner (2023 WRB Limited due around the 11th). As a guy whose pretty much drove functional sedans in the past (sonatas or accords), a sports car is new for me and had some questions:

1. Are you guys devoted to any particular gas company? Usually, I try to hit up ARCO as much as I can or depending how low in gas i am whatever is closest, car guys I know say go to Chevron or Shell once I get the BRZ. Is that what you guys are doing? I plan on holding on to the car for quite some time.

2. In terms of regular maintenance are we going the dealer route while in warranty? I'm pretty much going to keep it stock for at least a year. Other than spirited driving on canyon roads or similar, no intention of tracking it in near future.

3. PFF or Ceramic or both? Reputable shops? I live in Long Beach area. Also, what would be a fair price to pay?

Any other thoughts or tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1. My favorite is Chevron (engine feels the smoothest), then Shell (in between the most power and engine smoothness), and then Mobil (has the most punch but a bit rough).
I don't touch Arco: engine runs way too rough, extra loud crickets, doesn't take credit card (last I checked).

2. DIY or take it to a shop.

3. Whatever you want.
