Off topic incoming..
Man, speedsociety brings me back and has completely changed.
Originally started off when the import scene was gaining momentum, as Speed Options. A lot of us, after a couple years or so, weren't getting along so well with the way that site was going or the staff there. One of the forum members, Gimpdiggity if I remember correctly, started up Speed Society as a basic forum for those members who were dissatisfied. It was a pretty successful migration. Then ownership changed hands and the admin put a ton of work into the site and it did well for years, but then membership started dropping off, we were getting older, moving on, etc. Ownership changed hands again and tried to revive the forum, but it seems like most everyone moved on, and a lot of us just kept in touch using Facebook. Ownership changed hands again to someone who "has some great ideas for the name." Looks like it's become a video aggregating site now, but at least it has traffic again.
