Anybody else with a vague ETA (of June)?
 

Hey all,

Waiting patiently as #2 at my dealer even though 3 cars have already been delivered. They were all AT and mine is manual, so maybe that's the reason.

My car came off wait list about 1.5 weeks ago. My salesperson said no VIN and the ETA is just saying June. I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else - everybody seems to be posting exact ETAs and VINs.

Anybody else? Any insight? Thanks.

My dealer said the same thing "June". No details. I figured mid to late June - then on June 1st the dealer called and said my car arrived! I think it was better this way - instead of committing to a date, I got to be surprised when I wasn't expecting it. :D

I do have to sell my current car privately, so knowing would be nice. I guess I'll be surprised, like you, because I am also expecting this means end of June.

I was given a vague June date by SoA as well back in late May. That recently changed to an actual ETA of 6/14, so you might not be waiting too long.

I got the same thing from my dealer. He called me yesterday(6/2/12) and said that there is no other information other than June delivery. My guess is they now know how many they can produce any given day and can guarantee that it will be here by then.

I haven't gotten an ETA either....but the interesting thing is the dealer was originally going to be allocated 4 BRZ's. So they let 3 customers order cars and figured they would keep 1 for the showroom, but I talked to the salesman the other day and Subaru is going to send them 2 more BRZ's June 11th and hasn't told them when the pre-ordered cars will be in...

I think this is going to be a common occurrence. My dealer got 2 extras bringing them to 18 total. They came in after the #1 preorder, but before my #2. They were both automatic transmissions, so I think this may tie in to FHI producing too many ATs for the US market. Just a guess.

I was told "mid-June". My friend said his dad saw BRZ's at the dealer last week, but I assume those were part of the first shipment and mine is on the second. Of the 5 cars that initially showed up in the dealer's inventory, 3 are listed as "In transit" with mine being one of them, one is showing as available, and one has been taken off the site so I assume the customer took delivery. All 5 were limited 6MT!

Month of June
 

I also got the vague ETA of the "Month of June". I confirmed it with both SoA and my dealer. I think it was late May when my wait list status changed to ordered and ETA with "Month of June". I am excited that my order finally went through, but I just want my damn car NOW! :burnrubber:

I'm going in to preorder mine today, so that might be why my ETA is different...but my dealer said "late summer / early fall".

I'm hoping for some late August driving...

The BRZ I preordered also had a vague arrival date of mid-June. If the dealer had told me a few days ago, I might not be going back there today to pick up my refundable deposit.

I pre-ordered back in late April, #3 in line at my dealer. Car #1 (gray, Limited, AT) was delivered in early May. Car #2 (details not known) is reportedly arriving June 15th. As for me, I've got a VON, no VIN, and no info about delivery.
I learned all this over the weekend. Until then, I was kinda hoping I'd be amongst the "mid-June" delivery bunch I've heard so much about.

Same for me, "June".

I'm patient.

My dealer asked his rep about the June ETA. The rep said that the next "update" in the computer system takes place on June 11th... so maybe a lot of people will have some good news next week.
