BRZ Series Blue badge?

About 3 and a half weeks ago, I bought a BRZ Series Blue. there are only 1000 of these babies. Went on a car meet this weekend and saw an FRS Series 10 in person and saw that it came with the XXXX of 2500 badge. I find it kind of odd that the SB would be so limited to 1k but not have that. I'm wondering if I'm the only one that doesn't have it or if they just don't come with the XXXX of 1000 badge at all?

Obviously, I love my car more than anything. A badge isn't going to make me love it less, I just think it's odd.

Thank you for contacting Subaru of America, Inc. Congratulations on the purchase of your 2015 Subaru BRZ!

I want to let you know that Subaru of America does not offer the production number for the special appearance vehicles. The only thing to uniquely identify our vehicles is the vehicle identification number.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I hope you enjoy the vehicle!

Sincerely,

I asked about this at the dealership and got the blow off answer that it was tracked by the VIN. :mad0260:

Sucks that it doesn't.

I was also wondering if the 1000 includes the Aozoras from Canada and the Subaru of New England units.

What digits am I looking at to tell which one I got? Last 4?

No, I don't own one as I have the 10 Series badge, but if I didn't I would be in the same shoes wanting one. The one i posted iss offered by yospeed, they do custom engravings. Diode dynamics has some too that fit the heat seaters but not sure if you have option for custom engraving (aka your badge number).

No easy way to find out. I have VIN #00002, and it is not a Series.Blue. Subaru made some of the regular BRZs at the same time as the Series.Blues, and VINs are in order of production.

I have 401 or something like that so I may just put that lol.

As far as I know....

200 Aozoras in Canada (100 Blue, 100 White)
1000 Series.Blue in the US (500 Blue, 500 white)

So in Canada & US combined, there should be 1200 units of Aozora/Series.Blue. Dealerships got allocation based off of previous sales history. More volume = more Aozora/S.B units.

I know my local dealer which is a "medium volume" dealer got 6, but one of the bigger dealers got as many as 20.

... My VIN ends with 1134... I'm pretty sure the Aozora/S.B BRZ's are just built in-line with the rest of the other BRZs. From what I have been reading, there's not correlation between VIN and what # unit you got.
