Sound tube issues
Could removing the sound tube cause the rpms to fluctuate. I took it to the dealer and they put the sound tube back on, did the software ecu flash update and put shims in the cam shaft to adjust the timing and it seems to fix the problem.
But what I would like to know is if I could take the sound tube off again? |

Yes I plugged both, I didn't think it could, even though it's part of the intake all it does is make noise

Then it's likely that the timing and reflash are the real solution to the problem.

Thanks

IF they put it back on just grab the plug from the socket in the glovebox and cram it in the hole under the passenger mat. That way you can just pull it when you take it in for service and they can't try to use it as an excuse. |
