I ran a 14.7 consistent with a 2.2 60ft. I could do better, just need to take care of my check engine light.

There was another stock manual frs running a best of 15.3 that night.

My best run yet 14.55s against my friend's 2013 civic si with intake and exhaust.. Only mod I have is a perrin catback but I purchased my PTuning turbo kit and can't wait to see some 13 second runs

We had no wheel spin at all it was just rolling off the line really slow LOL...
225/45/17
no spare or jack on E85
(Just to add we had multiple runs and I'm not SURE if that was the 15.3 run in the video or not but all had the same slow 60 foot..)

Scion FRS/BRZ/GT86 Automatic slow Drag - YouTube

That tall first gear in the automatic isn't hole shot friendly.. Certainly explains the MPG difference between the manual setup.. How many miles on the car when you got these numbers?

Any N/A cars in the low 14's yet?

I'll be boosted by next spring so I anticipate mid to low 13s

Next year mid 11's or I'm burning the car lol

14.4 NA on standard 16" tyres. Yes, the Aussie base model gets 16s.

Good job. Some better launches (60' times) and you get much better

CajunFRS 11-21-2013 09:47 AM

^ Nice 14.4

It'd only take putting on some decent tyres and the 60' time would drop.

CajunFRS 11-23-2013 01:26 PM

Been hoping to see someone on e85 hit high 13's low 14's consistently. Even though I know the car isn't a drag car.

Have you tried dropping the stock tires down in pressure, like to 25psi? Not really optimal, but I've had very good success dropping a few psi on factory street tires. Too much and you actually lose traction though.

It's the only time I've been to the strip. I wasn't too worried about getting my times down. More as an interest thing to see what it'd do. I think once I strip it out the weight savings will improve the times. I think I'll go back just because I'm curious.

Took my FR-S to the strip for the first time on Sunday. Raced a Kenmeri and did 14.67 @ just shy of 97mph. E85 tune, muffler delete, trans mounts, gutted in the rear, slammed and im running 18x9.5s with 225/40s stretched on them. I think I did alright :iono:

Anybody here have used drag slicks? What size of tire? What tire? What wheel?

kombatlion 07-09-2014 09:57 PM

My fastest time is 12.9 and my 60ft 210 so I need slicks

Dipstik-sportech 07-09-2014 10:07 PM

@whitefrs does I think

I did 12.21 with drag radials, hell I did my 11.6 on them too lol

kombatlion 07-09-2014 10:23 PM

Fuck, jajaja how much WHP?

Dipstik-sportech 07-09-2014 10:45 PM

450-475

foodman 07-10-2014 12:52 AM

How quick do you think a torquey 400-450whp/tq LS1 or LS3 engine in a Twin would go?

Dipstik-sportech 07-10-2014 07:57 AM

I wasn't lacking for torque, traction was my issue.

Njjawn 07-30-2014 11:37 AM

I'll be hitting the track for the first time ever today. I get as many passes as I want so I'm not overly concerned with technique as I'll get practice in. I'll get a couple runs in with no launch but then I wanna try to launch it.

Any tips? 100% stock, manual.

Nannies on or off? Burnout or no burnout? I can skip the water pit if I want to. Launch rpm?

itdansharpe 07-30-2014 11:46 AM

Car is stock?

1) Press and hold traction control off.
2) rev to around 3-4k.
3) dump clutch.
4) enjoy.

Njjawn 07-30-2014 12:13 PM

Sweet. Should I spin them or just drive around the waterbox?

itdansharpe 07-30-2014 12:17 PM

Really depends on ambient temps, tires, etc. getting them hot is always going to help. If you are after every millisecond, try lowering tire pressure to about 28 -30psi as well.

Also, if you have that much time, don't just take my word on disabling traction control. See for yourself! :)

Njjawn 07-30-2014 12:18 PM

Thanks man! I guess I'll just see what works best for me.

Dipstik-sportech 07-30-2014 12:31 PM

Never do a burnout on street tires at the track!! Only makes them greasy

Njjawn 07-31-2014 01:06 AM

Only got 2 runs in, the track was packed with fast cars so I did a lot of watching.

Best (and first ever) run:
Rt - .592
60 - 2.38
1/8 - 10.24
1000 - 13.22
1/4 - 15.751
Mph - 89.66

Second run I ran a 15.8 because I bukakeed the launch. My launch sucked the first run too, just not as bad. I'm too scared to beat her up :(

You forgot the intake manifold spacers

Synack 07-31-2014 03:18 PM

You could honestly probably gain back some power if you downsize the exhaust to 2.5". 3" exhaust LOST power even on my Nismo 370Z with 300whp. 2.25" might even be better.

kombatlion 07-31-2014 03:20 PM

Probably is not mine is the people that works on my FR-S
