Clutch Masters FX350 (Stage 3.5) - $650 Shipped! (Shipping usually cost $40-$50 included in price) 110% over stock holding power (up to 170% over stock if friction disk is upgraded to the FX-400 4, 6 or 8 puck design) Right now I have my Clutch Master FX350 up for sale (original price $1,150). This is a "repaired" clutch from Clutch Masters but looking at the clutch I would say they replaced the whole thing. New pressure plate, friction disk, pilot bearing, flywheel... This kit has 0 (zero) miles on it and will need to have the 500 mile break in! Honestly, you are getting a new high quality clutch for half the price; I would keep it but I already dropped $1,800 on an Exedy clutch... When I bought this clutch new I paid about $900 plus shipping. I am currently running an special Exedy Hypersingle otherwise I'd upgrade the clutch disk to an the 6 puck cerametalic (~$300 CM), which can handle 350+wtq. The only thing that is not included in the kit is a new throwout bearing and an alignment tool (about 15$ at a auto store). CM says this clutch should be able to handle in the low 300's for wheel torque no problem. If you have any questions please let me know. :) What is included in the sale (all part of the 15738-HDFF-SK kit): 1 x NEW Heavy Duty Pressure Plate (compatible with the FX400) 1 x NEW Sprung Hub Fiber Friction Lined Disc 1 x Steel Fly Wheel (Resurfaced by CM) 1 x NEW Pilot Bearing What you'll need: 1 x Alignment Tool 1 x Throwout/Release Bearing (would order from Clutch Masters or use OEM; I do have a used CM throwout if you want it) IClutch Review and Notes (bonus!): First off, from what I understand and after talking to Clutch Masters the FX350 used the same pressure plate and steel flywheel as the FX400. So why the difference between 110% holding capacity and 170% holding capacity? It is because of the clutch disk and its materials. The FX350 is suppose to incorporate a softer engagement on initial contact with the pressure plate and flywheel. After it is fully engaged it should have a similar "bite/hold" as the FX400. The bonus part is that you can upgrade the clutch disk to the FX400's 8, 6 or 4-puck design and still use the pressure plate and flywheel. Second, the clutch pedal is going to be a little more heavy than stock but this is normal for a heavy duty pressure plate. After the 500mile break in the pedal will become softer, easier to use, and the engagement will be more enjoyable. The FX350's full face clutch disk becomes more forgiving after the 500mile break in, just like any stage 3 and above clutch. You will notice the difference at pedal positions when you are engaging the clutch disk. The first (softer) engagement will feel similar to stock (ignoring the heavy pedal feel). As you begin to engage more it will feel like...as what I kind of thought of it as...sand paper or a puck like engagement, which is the metal in the "puck" design for a stronger hold and heat resistance. Lastly, I bought the steel flywheel because I don't do track racing. The steel flywheel will help keep the car from stalling more easily compared to an aluminum. The drive train noise and clutch chatter will be reduce, especially when using a sprung disk (included in kit). Overall, I did not have much clutch chatter at all compared to the aluminum flywheel and a sprung disk. Hope all this information and my two cents helps...maybe I should move this to a review sections HAHA!
