Wait for FastBrakes to release a caliper bracket kit if you want to run OEM STi 4 pots.

won't the calipers just be upside down? I thought STi calipers were mounted near the drivers compartment while the FR-s were near the bumpers?

The Greddy car with the STi calipers had more involved modifications. There may be a caliper that simply requires a spacer however. Just hit me up on Facebook Matt. :D

swaping sides might fix the upside down bleed issue, but for the price of late generation OEM brembos id rather get properly sized wilwoods.

When you swap sides to fix the bleeder location, the differentially bored pistons are now backwards. So in short, you can't just slap OEM STI brembos on.

The Greddy car didn't have STI Brembos.

Really? What were they?

old greg 06-04-2012 02:42 PM

They were branded as Greddy, but IDK if Greddy made them or just had them made by a supplier. For all I know, they could have actually been made by Brembo anyway. ;)

Greddy's brakes are usually made by Alcon.

Important bits from the text: kit uses oem grb spec c calipers. Rotors are originals based on dixcel rotors with the same slits as the r205 limited edition car. Includes original brake lines, gdb-e oem tie rod for added stiffness in the rear, other parts necessary for conversion like rear buck plate, rear drum shoe. According to the maker of the kit if you're not concerned about quality, it is possible to do this conversion with a small amount of extra parts using the oem brz buck plate, but you will have to do some trimming of the buck plate which will decrease rigidity, which is why he included oem grb buck plate and other necessary parts to use the buck plate.
