Q300 is a little too quiet

What changes can be made that's legal in California to make meaner sound. Muffler delete the q300? Kinda pointless to ruin a full exhaust system, right? Only thing I can think about getting away with is new headers.

Try a catless front pipe. You'll still have the cat in the header for emissions

Some guys in here with aftermarket headers are bitching about how loud their exhaust sounds. Perhaps you could arrange a catback swap with one of them?

That's not Cali legal and actually, its not legal in any state. If there is any state where I wouldn't want to risk the legality of removing cats, California is it. OP, I'd try to see if you could swap catbacks with someone who wants a quieter exhaust. My suggestion would be the Perrin 2.5" resonated catback. It's still a fairly quiet exhaust but a tad louder than your Q300.

Does volume increase drastically with catless UEL header? Currently have OFH and want to know if Q300 will be sufficient for sound

I got catless uel headers with my q300. Made it slighly louder but by very little. So little i couldnt hear the boxer rumble. Just this past weekend i installed a high flow cat without the resonator. Now its louder i got the rumble and its amazing. If this is not an option for you then swap the q300 because nothing else works

Just curious. Is that the 1 piece nameless or 2 piece combo?

I'm under warranty right now, you guys think it's ok to put a header in and assume everything will run smoothly

If you get a tune to go with the header then yes, otherwise you'll have a CEL. I know that there is one OFH left in stock right now. Could do that with the OFT.
