Floor Mats
Hi all,
Just got my FR-S last week and I want to get some floor mats for the 2015 model. Has the floor design changed or will 2013-2014 floor mat models work? Any opinions between Husky, WeatherTech, and 3D Maxpider? Thanks! Husky WeatherTech 3D Maxpider |
I have the WeatherTech ones. Fitment is perfect.

Get WeatherTech and be done with it.

Weathertech is nice, but slippery. Not an issue when driving, but just slippery when wet. Any all weather mats will be the same though.
But... YOU'RE IN CALI, there's no rain there, so why worry? Just use stock floormats. |

Just be aware that if you have the Cusco Accel Pedal installed, you may experience binding with the weathertech mats. Not sure if this has been remedied.

I got the husky liners after talking to another member. I like them but the weather tech are good too.
Two reasons to choose husky liners: 1. Covers the fuel door pull area (but this might be a deal breaker for some) 2. Has nubs on the back. I think the weather techs do not. |
Lloyds Mats
I like the Lloyds mats. I'm in the PNW... a bit wet from time to time and no issues with spill over.

Thanks for the response so far everyone.
But I do want to confirm the floor mat area hasn't changed with 2015. |
I have a 2015 BRZ and bought the "frs" MAXpider floor mats, they're great! I threw a wet umbrella on the passenger floor during my lunch break at work, came back at the end of the day and the rain drops were still beaded on the mat, wiped away and was done with it. I liked the aesthetic of the maxpider vs the weathertechs, and they feel grippy but not grippy enough to be annoyed if your heel were to catch.

Purchased the 3D Maxpider via amazon (prime=free shipping.) I also considered the Weathertechs but it would have been an additional $55 in shipping.
I have Weathertechs in my Sienna van and they do get a little slippery when wet . The Weathertechs would probably hold spillage better, but no one is supposed to have beverages in the new ride anyway. |
