Based on some of the feedback on this thread, how many would be in favor of a "Showroom Stock" class (OEM crash bolts and stock treadwear and higher), and modifying the current stock class to have less restrictions (Also renaming it)? If we want a "budget" class, stick to SS.

I also thought about putting a class between stock and street, or just raising the stock class points, but that defeats the purpose of stock class. While it seems like a good idea for people with like 1 point instead of .50 to still be in stock, it just doesn't seem worth it.

Can I run 235F 255R on aftermarket 17x9 wheels in Stock Class... in the S2K Challenge series? :threadjacked: :)

How come so many people are against alignment bolts?

It seems that easy, inexpensive mods should be welcome and encouraged.

I dont think anyone here is against bolts.....they are already free. The question is whether camber plates should take points since they provide a much greater adjustment

How much do camber plates give on stock struts?

They've given me approximately 3 degrees.....plus I have bolts to get me another 1

Oh wow. Might have to buy some to get me near 2.5

They generally give a 3 degree range.

RaceSeng stuff is awesome.

Do you know anyone that sells camber plates that are fully sealed for the bearings?

Not that I'm aware of...

Im not a rules guy since @CSG Mike is doing a good job at it already - but really, any mod thats less than a few hundred bux should be as close to free as possible.
You want to onvite as many people in as possible and lot of these guys arent gonna build the car to a set of rules. They just want to race what theyve got, so if you make it too complicated and unattractve, theyre just gonna turn away.

Who gives two fucks about a mod that is 1/16th of a second faster on a clear day at sea level?

Focus on getting more people to sign up instead.

I originally posted this question in the NorCal Subforum 86cup thread but it may be more appropriate here for the people crafting rules and point values.

I'm curious about the thought process behind the e85 tune points. I think we can all agree that an e85 tune on a NA car is not as effective as on an FI car. Therefore, I'm curious if that was taken into consideration when assigning what appears to be a one-size-fits-all point value.

Ultimately you won't find me lobbying for changes but it is helpful for everyone if this stuff is sorted early on.
