Helix side marker and mess up LED
So I've had my helix side marker for close to a year now. In the beginning I notice some condensation and water in the market but didn't think much of it. It is just a plastic cover that cost half as much as the real deal...
Now one year later. I notice my led is hyper flashing. Upon close inspection looks like the leds got wet. Does anybody else get water in their helix to the point that it mess up their led? |
ur the first

I used silicon sealant on the edges of my helix. No problems while they were installed. Imo any lighting assembly with water inside should be resealed immediately.

Lighting assemblies shouldn't ever have water in them, you have exposed metal in the sockets that can quickly rust and be damaged...

I had mine for only a few months and its doing this already.

I had a set, they leaked almost immediately. Looking at other options this time around.

We offer JDM Clear Side Markers (made in Japan and OEM Japan part) and it is factory sealed in accordance with OEM manufacturer standards. We highly recommended the OEM Japan Clear Side Markers for their built quality.
Moisture and condensation in certain aftermarket side markers pose a risk of damaging the socket, terminals, and the electrical system in the event of short circuits. |
^ if my led goes one more time i'm upgrading to this. just wish it isn't so expensive.
