Bad luck today, how do you repair polyurethane lip?
so i was installing my front lip i got the side bolts on and something came up and i had to leave the house, i didn't have any other cars to use so i had no choice, i assumed the lip would stay on with clips, double side tape and screws, unfortunately Murphy law strikes again
on the freeway the middle part of the lip fell off and shaved off quite a bit of the lip, :( im trying to stay positive about this, just seeing this incident as another weekend project. :/ here are some pics, any ideas? please don't say buy a new lip that would be my last resort. I'd just buy a new lip - those are cheap enough that the primary function for me is to protect my front air dam from scrapes. If I replace it once a year (haven't had to yet), I'd consider it worth its price.

Polyurethane is a chemical reaction and not a thermoplastic, so melting anything into it won't really work. Bondo absolutely won't work as polyurethane is flexible.
Honestly with that much damage, you're looking at a new lip... |
My phone is only pulling up one picture but if its the sti looking lip from jonmotoring, I will sell you one cheap and used once.

Just get a new one. They are disposable parts. I'm already on my third one.

Yeah everyone at work been telling me to just get a new one , yes it is the one I got from jonmotoring, I'm taking it off this weekend, I'm so down cuz I lost quite a bit of money
oh well lesson learned, I'm going to focus on another project that I had in mind, making the h11 fog harness that connects to the factory wireing, similar to the one you get on the usdm fog light from Toyota |
