Hes been on the dyno the last few days pretty much all day tuning

I'm ordering my tune from them for my efr 6758 build.

Do we have an eta on the flexfuel?

texasbound972 11-26-2014 08:00 PM

He builds them by hand with love and care. It might be a little bit.

Does the base tune for the Jackson Racing SC take something such as a catted front pipe into consideration? Or would it need a custom tune?

All our Flash & Go tunes are designed around the stock exhaust system (or the closest to that for turbo kits) so as to be on the conservative side.

So if you were to install a full exhaust system on the car do not be surprised if you make a little more power without any adjustments. It is expected with our tune especially with better flowing exhaust systems.

Now as far as optimal power for your setup it may not be at the limit but it is going to be pretty darn close to a solid tune as the compression is still fairly high to the additional changes will be small as we have seen on the Innovate Supercharger tunes, but they are their if one wants a little more we can tweak the tune a bit for a little more.

We do have some hanging around, I'll see if I can stop by the shop later and get some of those scanned and uploaded. They make slightly lower numbers than JDL and MAP kits with similarly sized turbos if my memory serves me well.

@DeliciousTuning Do we have any updates on the cold weather tunes? I emailed you start up logs as requested and I haven't heard anything for about a week.

Thanks

We believe we've located the source of the issue within EcuTek's coding, and are working on implementing it into a revision of the Flash N Go tunes. It won't be long now. :)

William,

It's definetely an intake air temprature-related problem. Today I checked carefully all connections and even additionaly secured all the tubes so that they don't move while car is in motion and tried to have a test ride. Start up and idle in a warm garage were perfect. I revved to 7000 several times once the engine warmed up - no problem and then I headed to the garage gates...

The air temperature outside was even lower than during my previous attempt when I noticed the problem for the first time - it was minus 11 degrees Celcius (about 12 Fahrenheit). The car started to act like it is slowly dying almost immideately. In 30 seconds when I tried to rev the engine - the engine did not want to go above 3000rpm. In another 30 secs the car stopped reacting to accelerator pedal completely, was just rolling at 1-1.5k rpms. I barely managed to return back to the garage at idle rpms and just before I entered the gates the rpms started to drop below usual 900-1000 idle and I felt that in another 15 secs the engine would stall. Once I entered the garage (about 55 Fahrenheit) the car returned to life almost instantly. The entire excercise took less than 3-4 minutes.

So, looks like my tune might be OK for sunny California but doesn't work for climates with freezing temperatures :( I guess you will see why it is happening from the logs that I sent you. Can the tune be adjusted for a wider intake temperature range or I need a different solution? Many thanks in advance for your attention to this matter!

You are correct it is intake temperature related.

We performed some testing yesterday and forced the intake temp to read below 0 Celsius ("-1") and found that the Engine Load value would get all wonky causing the car to run very poorly as people have noted. When setting the temperature to "0" it will run perfectly, so this is definitely something in the EcuTeK RaceROM Patch specifically with Speed Density VE tables.

So as we are speaking to EcuTeK about this for the proper correction to this we have a work around for the time being that allows everything to work properly. So for those of you have these problems, please email me and we will get the temporary fix out.

We did send out quite a few revisions to customers around the world, but if you have not received an update and are having the cold start issue and drivability please email us again and we will get that update out to you.

@Zach@delicioustuning I need that fan shroud. William said you might have one or know where I can get one. Thanks.
