Little Guidence Please. OFT
Over the last day or two After upgrading my OFT to the latest and greatest. (Great enhancements by the way). I have been noticing the ADV multiplier has been around .6 to .8. It has always been 1 prior to the upgrades. I do have the issues like others have posted with random readings getting locked in after stop and start of engine. I know there is a fix on the way. However, I was wondering if it's either a reading issue or my car. Here is the log if some of the experts on here could take a peek. Also, I'm running 93Oct BP gas in the Midwest 10%Eth
http://www.datazap.me/u/speedwi/10102014?log=0&data=1 @shiv With all the updates and enhancements the Team at OFT are doing. Would it be wise to start a thread or something here or on your website to report bugs found. This way everyone has one place to go to see if what they are seeing is "A Known Issue" With a single place to look, It would be very helpful and as the bugs get fixed they can be marked as so. "Would definitely show how hard you guys are working on this platform not to mention the others". Sorry just one more thing. More of a request to the live display. Would it be possible to have the Green bars on the live screen go to red when a parameter is hit that isn't ideal. That would help with the average joe like myself to get my attention and for tuning purposes to look further into that parameter. Thanks |
if you're getting some knock on the 93 tune, try the 91 tune on. Could just be variation in fuel quality.

what are all the mods and what exact tune are you running stage 1 or 2, EL or UEL, 91 or 93 oct?
|
It has been on the same tune. STG1 2.06 for 93oct. before and after upgrading the OFT to the latest enhancements. The tune before that was 2.0x beta, but that was some time ago.

you can use the vishnu reset trick to reset your IAM to 1 , put car in 2nd or 3rd and do a about 3 lighty throttle 20% or so runs from 2000 rpm to 5000 rpm and you should see your IAM back up uless you have rearly bad knock. A slifgt uphill grade is usefull to prolong the time or light left foot braking. |
Thanks, It's possible that its driving style. I just though it was weird that it would climb back to 1 when i drove hard and then normal cruising it would begin to drop again to .70+.

I don't know the exact process. The ecu will generally use FBKC mode of knock control in that area, if it get's enough FBKC over a certian threshold in a certain period of time your IAM will drop. It then appears the IAM will stay low even if the knock goes away untill the engine rpm goes over about 4500 or more with no knock. If you never rev it higher than about 4000 the IAM just stays where it is until you rev it higher and their is no knock. fix is better fuel or pull some timing from Base_timing_B map in the 1500-3500 rpm loads 0.6 to 1.1 or where your seeing the knock. Pull about half (or slighly over half) the value of what your seeing the ecu pull in the logs usually sorts it assuming your fuel trims and AFR are good. |
Thanks Again @steve99.
