Sometimes it may depend on where you are looking at it as well, it is possible for example that if you are doing it from a work site that has restrictions on web ads or redirected embedded links you may not see it even though it works fine otherwise.

All you really have to do is copy the URL from page on youtube and paste it in. For example, I've copied the URL for this video and done a paste. I unfortunately can't see the video at work (embedded URL issue) but know when I get home I will be able to see it.

That's the format you get if you right click on the video in YouTube and select "Copy URL". As noted, that one doesn't work.

Hey, any idea what happened to being able to paste it in with a specific time start? The &t= parameter seems to break it now but it used to work?
