Headlight compilation thread?
 

Since there is a Taillight Compilation Thread I was wondering if there is one for headlights as well. If not can we make one?

Sounds like a great idea. Can wait to see what people post

How many headlights are there? could you not just go to google and make this up in less than 10 minutes?

I did not want to fill this up with pictures but there are links to all of the headlights you can currently purchase, I did not care which stores/vendors I linked to, I just picked the first ones I could find within the 5 minutes I spent on this...

Those are not really headlights per-say, those are custom factory options... is that what this thread wants too? because that already exists in the DIY blacked out headlight thread which shows everyone's personal take on the factory FRS option (and some BRZ mods too)

Why the eagerness to quash the idea? Sure, google can do image searching but doesn't provide a forum for discussion purposes too.

Doesn't need to be restricted to headlights for purchase... It'd be cool to see people post new designs, custom ideas, and updates on new products that have not hit the shelves yet... For example, I've seen pictures of at least two new headlight designs at various car shows somewhere on the forums... however now I can't find them. The specific post is probably buried somewhere, may even be in a regional forum, or under a different category. A headlight compilation thread might not be such a bad idea given this issue.

Also, it would allow members to ask opinions and questions about particular designs/products without the need for a bunch of one-off threads. just sayin..

I think they are the bmw knock off ones at the Japanese auto show. I really want those but no one seems to be making them yet.

There are threads on this though.. We could compile a thread that is a compilation of compiled threads but then that is what the forum is already.. There are the XXX Headlight owners threads, the DIY retrofit/modification stock headlight threads. They exist already and have pages upon pages of useful information.

The tail light thread is old, so I cannot hate on it, it grew as the selection grew, but there are already headlight threads.

Plus in 5 minutes I linked to at least 12 models of headlights, something that could be done by anyone. I could have included photos but I did not want to dump 16 photos into a thread that were not nicely compiled and compared. I am sure someone could just do this in an hour and be done with it and make it a sticky if they wanted to. Either way, threads already exist that discuss the headlight options at length. :iono:

I was reading through the tail light compilation thread and was hoping for the same from this thread.

Here's hoping to someone making an organized thread with a good compilation of photos/info/links(to other threads) along with a good ongoing discussion. Picture of my headlight mod to hopefully spark some interest in headlights again:

There is a headlight DIY mod thread that is like 100 pages deep if that helps
