Installing Red Stitched Handbreak Lever and Boot
Has anyone purchased and installed the following parts to complete the interior red stitching look of the FR-S?
http://subaruonlineparts.com/subaru-...ot-p-1349.html http://subaruonlineparts.com/subaru-...er-p-1350.html I know that JPM Coachworks has a similar boot but trying to decide from where to buy the parts. http://www.jpmcoachworks.com/jpm/sho...rake-boot.html |
I have the JPM e-brake boot and it was a simple install. You will need some sort of adhesive to attach the replacement boot to the existing panel (you peel the old one off). I didn't replace the ebrake handle, but it is probably just a few screws that hold it in place.

Redline goods also sells the covers, but quality depends on the installer.
Here's my DIY - perforated nappa leather w/ red stitching for the hand brake cover, and OEM glove box cover. The OEM BRZ handbrake cover and arm rest cover is made of vinyl - since I did a leather conversion in my car, I wanted to get genuine leather pieces. https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3813/...b22c819f_z.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5560/...62a17767_c.jpg |
A friend ordered some of the JPM stuff before me and he bought the spray adhesive that JPM offers so I used that.
As the above poster mentioned, Redline Goods does offer the same parts, but from the pictures I am not a fan of their quality when compared with JPM. |
