Rocket Bunny V1 or V2?

Hey guys I was going to do a rocket bunny v2 build this winter but i got offered a v1 kit for $1000 brand new greddy from a dealer what do you guys think i should do? Bite the bullet and buy the v2 or buy the v1? Or make a v1.2? HELPPPP!

ZOMFGAARON 10-04-2014 06:32 PM

$1000 RB?!

That's crazy replica pricing.

khan 10-04-2014 07:06 PM

Yup that _has_ to be a replica. Or a heavily damaged original.

no its not i have pics of original un opened paperwork its 100% authentic I'm getting it off of someone who works for a greddy dealer who bought it for whole sale and decided not to install it he's selling his frs to fund a different project so I could get a killer deal! What do you guys think i should do?

For that price I would just buy it and resell it

If its legit...then sir thats a killer deal. Selling it actually makes sense lol unless you actually want v1. I'm personally a fan of v1 over v2. Although v1 has become pretty common. Not that thats a bad thing.

"Pretty common" is always what I hear people say, but a) there aren't a huge amount of 86 platforms on the street, and of those, I'd have no problem laying down money that <1% of them have a rocket bunny kit on them. Sure, like at SEMA I'm sure there's a lot. But a) there's a reason and b) are you taking it to SEMA? The vast majority of people you encounter will not have one or probably even know what it is.

I think v1 looks way better than v2 personally, but it's really up to you.

You are right. "Pretty common" is a forum notion that I fall into too.

ZOMFGAARON 10-04-2014 08:29 PM

If i could pick it up for $1000 I'd resell it.

KyleCross 10-04-2014 09:54 PM

Ya I'm going to purchase the kit and then decide. I just really like the wide body ever since the 240, I actually was going to buy a 240 but due to frame damage and rusted out frames I decided I wanted a frs and ya quite a bit of people have rocket bunny kits but you don't see them every day and as far as car shows go I plan to mostly stay along the east coast but might venture off who knows.

KyleCross 10-04-2014 11:13 PM

I was also thinking of buying the v1 and just the v2 front bumper any thoughts on how you guys think it would look?

Yamajee 10-05-2014 09:25 AM

V1.2? elaborate please. $1000 for just the fenders or the lips and diffuser included? or even the GT wing? if it's the whole kit including the GT wing I will be really mad for buying my kit for 5 times that price.

KyleCross 10-05-2014 09:03 PM

By v1.2 I mean the v2 bumper with the rest v1 kit. And it was just the whole kit without the gtwing

calmtigers 10-08-2014 05:20 AM

Honestly I like the v1 a lot more and for that price even though I currently am stuck to function > form would switch to my desire to slam the shit out of this car
