Differential decisions

Trying to pick between a 1.5 and 2 way differential for road racing/ auto x the car will also be driven on the street. Any help would be appreciated.

1 or 1.5 way; 2 way is typically reserved for drifting.

Would you happen to know what the cusco differential is rated for and or other brands you would recommend for high hp use?

We share diffs with a MKIV Supra; unless you're making power up in 2JZ range, don't worry about the diff. You have other things that will break first (e.g. axles)

Is that because of the design? Im just curious as to know why FBM would offer the 8.8 ford rear end for our cars when 2JZ 'range' is like 800-1000whp

Parts bin... it's on a LOT of Toyotas.

Why they offer it? Because people will buy it.

I wouldn't put 800whp though the stock rear diff though.

What kind of power level?
Tires?
Suspension?
Driver experience level?

You can't go wrong with a Cusco RS or OS Giken.
