Just Released: OFT Data Display Updates

What's New: Auto-sleep, screen dimming, more channels, more functionality

The update is now released to the public. Just connect your OFT to your laptop, run OpenFlash Manager v1.11.1 with a WIFI connection. Your OFT will automatically get the new updates. All you have to do is update to the new Template File.

And I repeat, you will need to update to the new Template File. You can download it by click on THIS LINK :)

Here's a little video we made to show the new features and how they work:

Or you can watch on youtube in HD :)

I Tried to install OFManager 1.11.1 and got a error message. The zip file is also password protected.

Is it alright to install the template file using OFManager 1.11.0?

Edit: Scratch that... I got it installing now.

Hey Shiv mate, last nights update has broken real time data display on A01I (multiple people, multiple devices). The tablet is stuck on "Communicating with ECU, please wait..."

Would you mind sending me a user log (.prolog) right after you run into this problem. We can use that to debug and see why you guys are having that problem. So far we have only done testing on US roms and I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work on non-US roms. But the log file will tell us what we need to know and how to fix it.

Try this:
Before selecting realtime data display, go to Configure Channel menu and deselect everything except engine speed. Press right arrow to save prefs. And then go to realtime data display and see if it still hangs up.

Nothing, still the same

Ok I'll have our progammers look into it on Monday. Sorry about that. In the meantime, perhaps it would be best for only US customers to do the update then. Should have it sorted out soon...

I got it working, by loading FRS Customized 4 manually
Unfortunatly an online update to us non US forced this issue.

Now I go and test all other functions....

The only way to load Template files is manually (through Upgrade section in OF Manager). It is not included in the auto update. So is that the cause your problem Wayno? The new updates definitely require the user to upload the new Template file.

rcampici 10-03-2014 09:49 PM

Well that is great, I have pulled my hair out for several hours, got totally frustrated, lost faith in the product after the panic attack that I had screwed the car.
So I see its a communication problem and that even your people had no idea as to what is going on.
It was an online upgrade that caused the issue, yet now I see that we have to load the template by hand.
It was my experience in programming and computers that helped me to solve this.

Maybe a warning popup on OFM instructing when such an issue comes up.

And Shiv if it was not for Steve and Wayne us new comers would be up shit creek without a paddle.

I sent you a message about second 02 sensor code that I understood to be turned off you still have not responded.

I must say I am regretting choosing this platform for tuning.

Wayno 10-03-2014 09:49 PM

No, the cause was the auto update last night. I haven't had to do any template updates since 1.10.

rcampici 10-03-2014 09:54 PM

That is right Wayne, the upgrade caused the issue, but if you upgrade your template with the link above that Shiv point to, you will find the tablet will work as intended.

And Shiv now states that the template is updated by hand, please read above. This is why I am pissed to the incorrect information that is spread about.
