Any review on the FTEIGHTYSIX Spyder Reverse Bar?

So I bought one of these (http://www.fteightysix.com/new-produ.../#.VC8I3V6EOZM) along with a few of my friends and I just got mine yesterday. Opened the box and everything looks good so far, but I won't be able to install them for another week or so as I'm busy with exams. Haven't been able to find anything on these lights other than a few ebay listings.

No reviews, no descriptions, no videos.

I'm running off the assumption that these are exactly like the Valenti reverse bars in terms of the functions, which is that the "V" bar lights up along with the little triangle, and the triangle flashes 3 times when you brake. Is that correct for these lights? Anyone else bought them and have them installed?

fyi: for anyone else interested, newegg appears to sell the same thing, but a hair cheaper:

ive been thinking about opening mine up, and re-wiring it so only the v bar lights up with parking lights, triangle light to light on breaking.

should be a quick solder fix..

Can either one if you post a video of this?

So let me get this straight. The V-bar and the triangle light up together when you press on the brakes, but otherwise there is no light? The V-bar isn't on by itself all the time like the Valenti's?

You can either wire them to Parkin lights, or to the break lights, the v bar and triangle light are wired to come on together. There are only 2 leads out, not 3.. You have to choose on install weather to wire to break or parking lights, UNLIKE the Valenti's

So how would you rewire it to make it so the V-bar is running lights, triangle is brake light, and the reverse is...well reverse lights?

Danklvr 10-05-2014 09:00 PM

Once I open it up, I'll add a lead to the pcb from the triangle light, and de-solder the connection, if possible to the v bar, seperating the 2 lights.
