Innovate/Sprintex SC installation Tips or Notes
Hey everybody! I bought a Stage 2 intercooled Innovate SC (and 70mm Raceseng pulley) from a fellow forum member, and am going to install it next weekend. I was hoping that others that have installed one before might be able to give some tips, notes, or what to watch out for on the installation process. My car is a manual 2014 BRZ, and is currently completely stock.
I'll be doing this install on some ramps out in the driveway, so no access to a lift. I already have an EcuTek cable and tune from Delicious Tuning. Is there anything else that I will need or should do before the installation? The previous owner has changed out the plastic hose fittings to brass ones, and upgraded the allen head bolts that tended to break off. Any and all advice welcomed. Thanks in advance |
I found it very useful to label all existing hoses/ components with masking tape as well as all the parts included in the kit. Keep track of your work, stay organized, and be patient with each step is my advice.
Also helps to have another set of hands to place the blower on correctly. |
Where are you at in Texas?

Another question, I bought some Radium catch cans in anticipation of this instal. How are the hoses routed for the supercharger, and do you really need both catch cans?

Nope, just send your other one over my way :) In all seriousness though, can't hurt. From my understandng the cans are set up to anticipate two different types/scenarios of blow back. |
I'm only running the PCV catch can which is mounted on the passenger side next to the battery. A lot of guys running the Innovate kit report that they weren't catching much on the crankcase side of things.
Of course it doesn't hurt to have both though. |
I found this useful when I did my install:

Did everyone torque to spec in the instructions? Where can I get a torque wrench with low ft lbs range like that? Some of the values are under 10 ft lbs

Which hose is the "crankcase breather hose"? I'm short a hose lol. The one that is extended in step 5.1 goes to the inlet tube so which one goes to the middle connector on the back of the supercharger?
