He's in the UK. Still upset about the events of 1776 apparently. But then again , I would be miserable too if I had to live on that cold and rainy island.

A total of 263 BRZs registered in the UK as of July 1st 2014.

Mine took almost 6 months to be delivered. Order made 2nd of April, delivery made mid of September. Good luck!

There are plenty of unsold BRZs in the UK & there's a slow but steady stream of cars coming into the UK. It's just nothing in the spec I want.

When i went to buy a BRZ/86, I went to subaru first because of my 02 bugeye, and they told me the wait time was 3 months and i said, no way haha
So ordered the 86 which i like a little more because i'm a initial d fan and a fan of the past of the ae86.
The one thing that wanted me to get the BRZ over the scion was the Subaru badge. I wanted the car in red either way so can't complain.

I was hoping to order a BRZ in december, not looking forward to a 3+ month wait after ordering :( as myself like @stonenewt don't care for the fancy seats so would be going for the SE rather than the lux

What sabotages my spec is the fact I need an auto - it's a need thanks to a moron who didn't know what a give way sign (or was it a red light, I can't remember) meant :(. Go for an manual & there where two in the UK when I put my deposit down.

I've test drove an auto, got a manual test drive lined up in December, hopefully there will be an available one to my spec when I can put a deposit down

I was told 14 months between order and delivery and i still paid my deposit.
It arrived after only 8 months and well worth waiting for.

Sounds like normal delivery time for Europe, I ordered mine in April and it arrived last week..

Don't forget that the factory had to wait for the new production cycle. As far I am aware, new production started 1st of July. My order was placed end of March and the car was produced the 2nd of July. It looks there wasn't a very big waiting list. Then it takes 1-2 months for the transportation. I suspect that in the meantime (March-June) the factory was building other models ..

Speaking of specs, the best option in Europe is to buy the bare bones version. It is based on the Japan's BRZ RA (Race Altered) version with a couple of additions. If available, it can be easily recognized by the 16'' wheels. This version has no radio, less sound proofing and in the trunk it doesn't have even a mat. Overall, it is 30-35 kg. lighter than the ordinary spec. Too bad that Subaru Europe is not promoting this version correctly. For example, the name in most of the countries is misleading. In Germany this spec is called "active" which is irrelevant. Of course, I wouldn't recomend this as a daily driver car. As I mentioned, it is even difficult to store things in the trunk. I would say that this spec is just for the purist or the track addicted.

So where do the UK spec SE & SE Lux fit in? Factory optional extras, rather than dealer fit accessories, for the SE is the nav & the auto box. The Lux adds heated leather & alcantara seats. Both cars sit on 17x7j alloys with 215/40R17 tyres.

You know, this was probably designed as a right hand drive car so the $hit doesn't need to be moved for the UK market
