Reverse lock out adjustment

Anybody know where the sweet spot to these things are? Thanks

aznatama 10-02-2014 01:35 PM

Sweet spot for what? Your question is unfathomably vague.

Are you talking about stock shifter? There's nothing to adjust on a stock shifter setup.

Dealer changed my faulty throw out bearing and I'm having trouble going into 1st and 2nd now. Before I try something else I wanna see to make sure it's aligned after doing some research. Yes I do have the stock shifter. But if its not adjustable then this topic would be irrelevant . My bad lol

Dealer messed it up, go have them fix it.

@nfaj look in DIY section for kartboy shifter installation. at the end there will be a short notice on adjusting reverse lockout plate. not sure if it'll help in your case, but some folks were able to improve shifter feel, especially going into 2nd gear.

@vgi thanks man

@vgi just looked at the DIY however I don't have a kartboy short shifter I have the stock one. Like @aznatama said the stock one might not have a reverse lock out plate.

Stock has one, just don't think it's innately adjustable. It's Pretty solid, but maybe you can bend it slightly...

I think it should be be adjustable with the screw holes, that plate with the bend for lockout

Stock one is adjustabale exactly like kartboy. The bolt holes are slotted to allow play.

What I do to se it, is loosen up the bolts. Move the shifter into first and second a few times, and let the plate barely touch the shifter while doing this. The just tighten it right there, taking care that the plate doesn't move while tightening it.

Good luck
