Will Scion offer HID's as an option?

I was going to wait to purchase the BRZ because the limited comes with so much more goodies, but I might go with the FRS because I can get it for over $4k less than the Limited ($3,300 difference + $1,000 military rebate).

The only option I'm dieing to have that the BRZ has is the HID headlights. Does anyone have any idea if Scion will ever offer this as an option, if not how much does the head lights run from Subaru? Do you think this will be a easy conversion to do (headlight swap)?

Headlight swap physically will fit fine and even the BRZ ones will fit on FRS, but the harness, and ballasts as well as controller has to be added as well. So in parts, it will be a lot of cash to do, either in BRZ housing or Japan 86 Limited housings... Looking close to $3200 for both sides in parts.

Scion doesn't offer factory installed optioned, and that's what this would most likely be. I have the FR-S. The headlights have been great. I was worried about it having HIDs, but now that I've actually driven it, the stock ones are plenty good.

That's what is holding me back from the frs. In reality you can never add the hids because it will be too expensive. Will insurance cover your aftermarket hids if they get damaged in a wreck?

$3200 is too much for some lights, when the BRZ premium is only $1300 more and it includes hids and real touch screen navigation and slightly better seats.

But if I was going BRZ...it would be the limited.

The scion release series 1.0 of the fr-s will have hids and push start. Probably next year...
