why dont you just spend the money and get it painted the right way???

instead of doing it yourself, it looks like you are new to painting, save yourself the headache and trouble and just get it painted bye someone who knows what they are doing

for the money you will be happy with the outcome

Painting a bumper when youre new to painting will be pretty difficult. I would start with a smaller project like a wing or spoiler to get familiar with the technique.

This is very helpful advice...

You're going to be attempting to match older paint on a big part of the car on your first painting attempt, it's probably not going to end well at all.

On top of paint, you're going to need primer, possibly flex additive depending on what type of paint, clear, a GOOD spray gun, compressor, clean booth to spray in, etc.

It's going to cost you more in tools and materials than to just pay a shop to spray it.

Painting is one of those things that you can't just read about and do perfectly on your first attempt, it takes A LOT of practice.

Source, I've airbrushed and painted a few things...

I don't think you fully appreciate the skill and effort involved in automotive spray painting. This is more art than science, in my opinion. Especially when trying to match an existing paint job.

I believe I recommended you to seek out a body shop to repair your bumper - that advice still stands. If you think you're going to save money by doing this job yourself, you are going to be disappointed. This isn't something you want to go cheap on.
