Iphone 6 music playing issue on FRS
 

Hi,

I used to use my iPhone 4S and plugged it's usb into my 2015 FRS to play music. Once it's plugged in, I am able to select music and scroll to the next or previous track using the FRS touch screen.

However, couple days ago I use my iPhone 6 to play music in my FRS and it seems that although I could still listen to music, I could no longer scroll or select music on the touch screen. I have to manually change music through my iPhone. If I were to skip to the next song or the previous song, I have to change
it through my iPhone 6 instead of the touch screen. The touch screen display no artist or track info while it is playing music.

Anyone else have similar issue with the touch screen?

Mine seems to work ok. Not as well as it did with my iPhone 5. Swapping back and forth between sources seems to help in my case. There are definitely some weird issues though. My phone sometimes decides to start playing in my pocket after I get out of the car, which was something that used to happen to my brother from time to time with Ford sync and an iPhone 4. Never happened with my iPhone 5 in this car...

The head unit on my 2014 FR-S lost some functionality when I upgraded my iPhone 5S to iOS 8. It won't play podcasts through the USB anymore. It still plays music through the USB, however.

i"m running an iphone 5s using the bluetooth. After upgrading to IOS8, there's a noticable delay when I skip songs on both my touch screen and through the phone.

IOS8 most likely the culprit for you as well. My experience with IOS8 is still buggy even with the new update, 8.0.2.

Thanks for all the comments. Yes I currently use Bluetooth and it's fine for now. Usb still doesn't work to change music on the touch screen.
