Detailer spray?

What's a good detailer spray? I read that Optimum No Rinse works real well when diluted any other recommendations?

Adam's is good, Sonax is good, Griot's Garage is good, Zymol is excellent. There are a bunch of really nice products out there.

I use ONR diluted at 1:16 as a detail spray for *light* cleaning. It works great, and is very economical.

ONR, Ultima Waterless Wash is great, Chemical Guys V07.

^^^^ this

15ml of ONR in 64oz spray bottle is what I use for quick detail/light cleaning

Ultima waterless wash concentrate. You get 16 bottles of detailer for less than 20 bucks. And the stuff performs amazing with high lubricity and a great wipe off. Highly recommended. Most other detail sprays are undilutable so you end up paying 5-10 bucks for one bottle when uww let's you pay 15-20 bucks for 16 bottles!!

Been using Griot's Speed Shine off and on for about ten years. Very happy with it. Also tried similar products from Meguiars and Mothers that were acceptable.

Duragloss is pretty affordable and good

BRZBYE 09-27-2014 01:49 PM

I never go cheap. I also trust meguiars. I use meguiars ultimate detail spray. Black bottle

I used to use Griot's Garage Speed Shine and No-rinse car wash. Then to save money and try something new, I tried diluted ONR (2 capfuls to 1 Gallon). I like the ONR better. It seems that the Griot's Garage products would leave a surface that was slick, but not really "dry." In certain conditions, it would collect dust and soot, presumably from static. I have not had the problem with ONR, and I like the shine and the low price.

I think I may try this next:

According to the company, it also works on the interior of aircraft, so it may also work for hard surfaces inside the car.

Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer does the job for me.

Lunatic 10-21-2014 12:35 AM

We used to use meguiars ultimate detail spray. Black bottle. Then we were given a sample of "Golden Shine Quick Shine" instant detailer made by Calif. Car Cover company and thought it to be much better than Meguiars.

I've been using Griot's Speed Shine and I'm very happy with it.

I use Griots Speed Shine and I think it works great. It also smells heavenly.

Waterless washes are not our cup of tea! We don't believe in a waterless wash because it cutting corners! However if its your thing, Quick detail sprays will work.

The problem with this industry is there is to many products being promoted that are just a quick way for companies to make a buck.

You need to understand when its NOT OK to use a quick detail spray!

You do not want to go rubbing heavy dirt against the surface. Pre-Soaking the surface is very important and before anyone chimes in, please understand the chemicals in a pre-soak formula are far different then a quick detail spray or waterless wash.

Waterless washes are nothing more then a quick detail spray! So ask yourself this! Why do you need to buy two different detail sprays?????

Border7 10-21-2014 08:27 PM

ONR diluted as a quick detailer is literally amazing, I clean my car A LOT and i have used a couple other all good products like Megiuars and Mothers. But the ONR is excellent it smells great, leaves an amazing shine and the surface is always so clean :D oh and it extremely inexpensive for the volume of product you get once it is all diluted.
