coilover question
 

I am about to buy some kw v 3 coilovers and was wondering if I should buy a camber kit with it. I am going to drop my car by about 1.2 inches. Right now I have 17 x 8 inches wheel on my car. I plan on getting a bigger wheel for my car in the future, probably 18x9.5.

I love camping but its not for everyone.

I used to have springs which were 1.4 inches I believe. I ended up just getting camber bolts for the front and it was came out great. When I upgraded to coilovers and dropped the car more, I went with lower control arms in the rear and it came out okay. If you have the money for the camber plates then there worth it and are safer then camber bolts. But not necessary.

Well I guess it depends on what you plan to do with the car. If you are tracking it regularly and running sticky tires then yes I would say it is worth it. If you are just street driving then the camber adjustment that comes with the V3s slotted bolt hole should be plenty up front and if you aren't dropping more than about 1.5" then the rear should be ok also.

For daily driving camber bolts will be by far the best bang for your buck. Track users should opt for something sturdier like the raceseng camber kit.

I put v3s on my car and I needed replacement control arms to deal with the camber, it wasn't terrible, but I just didnt like it. I had the arms put in by a shop after I did the coils myself. Attachment 92040 these are the specs after.
