2015 BRZ came with Pioneer AVIC-F860BT
 

Hi,

I got my BRZ yesterday and was really surprised that stock head unit was Pioneer AVIC-F860BT. Dealer said that all 2015 models are coming with that sat nav but I guess that is a country specific thing because I haven't seen anyone else had this?

That looks like a head unit for a Tundra/Sequioa

This is how it looks in a car. Now I need to find a background image where "carbon fiber" stripes are lined up with interior panels.. :)

Nope, O.o that looks really good. Mine is the same head unit they been using since 2013.

The fact yours dont even say subaru on it says somthing, consider it a surprise gift from dealer. :thumbsup:

Looks like a newer version of the unit that all 2013 Canadian BRZs were supplied with. From 2014 onwards they got the same HU as the States.


I suspect it was something stupid like a late CSA approval or not having French language instructions issue that made them go with a seemingly off the shelf unit here.


Dunno about yours, but the 2013 Canadian one is still crap and not user friendly.
