Hopefully people are still watching this thread..

Does everyone that wants EcuTek ProECU BRZ software have a order form filled out and handed in?

Will it be available at a consumer level? I would be interested depending on price...

Right now edit software is only for the ProTuner

Once they have a few things sorted the ProECU cable that is flash / datalog only will be available.

EcuTek ProECU Tuner will be around at some point - just don't know when.

That's a shame. I don't think I would be comfortable putting a tune on the car which I was unable to edit myself.

This is how things normally work with commercial tuning software.

Completely agree with you on that one.

There will be other solutions then like standalones or open source ECU but they are going to take a bit longer to materialize and of course a standalone will be more expensive.

In the Subaru world where reflashes are the most popular solution, most guys don't want to edit maps that's why they pay tuners to tune their cars. :) I don't trust off the shelf maps either, so when I did get a reflash I had the car retuned to match my exact setup. It's more money but it's worth it in the long run. With no boost, I think the BRZ/FR-S is going to be less complicated and less prone to blowing up your engine.

That being said, Cobb does make their AccessTuner Race software available for free to accessport owners, but imho that was to stem the tide of people turning to open source.

Yes - this is true.

When Cobb comes out with a new product it normally doesn't have a Race version for a while.

So if and when Cobb comes out with a AccessPort for the BRZ you can expect to wait 6-12 months before you have a Race version of the software.

Yes, and I believe all of their "Race" software is still considered Beta.

There's a lot of stuff that gets into customers hands that's still beta.
Company's cant produce the software fast enough so this is what happens.

Any news on additional horses and torques.

Did a very wet trackday today and whilst the car was invincible on the corners, it was a little outgunned on the straights.

I need 250 bhp or 20% up from stock
