Tuning options near or in Cincinnati
So, I was wondering if anyone knows of anybody within a few hours from Cincinnati that would be competent enough to do a turbo install on an 86. I already know I will never go to Zerolift/whatever their name is now. IPS motorsports I have had great success with when I had my 3000gt and Evo 8, however they have no experience with 86's. Dynosty is also a no go as of now as well. Thanks for the suggestions in advance.
I had a set of very unfortunate incidents happen about a month ago. This forced me to sell my Phantom ESC to recoup some money. I was promoted two weeks ago though and along with it came a 12k raise so I will be in a better position financially sooner than later. With that in mind I plan on either getting the ESC again, but am not sure if I can deal with the crazy waiting list at the moment or I have been toying the idea of getting the SBD kit. This is more than likely the route I will go. :burnrubber: |
You might want to ask around the central Ohio section of the forum:

Accelerated is in Toledo.. far from you. I don't know the other shops in Ohio, I just visit for beers, track events and hockey games... Oh and family :)

On Topic: Why no Dynasty? The have a good reputation in the MR2 community and i was under the impression that the same applied to the 86 community. There is a tuner in the Akron area called Smokey's Dyno that has a good rep but I am not sure if they do installs. Might be worth a call and they do have a FB page. |

Being a new BRZ owner, I know nothing about 'Turn In Concepts', but a friend of mine at work (Subie person), when hearing about my new arrival, immediately suggested I have them do anything I want to it, as they have always taken care of her multiple Subarus over the years and they 'specialize' in working on them (again, according to her). I'm not an experienced mod guy by any means, but I've heard from others that this is the place to go in town...check them out. Good luck (and congrats!). http://turninconcepts.com/ |

$2K for an ESC install? From what I have seen that is less than a 1 hour job. Now if that includes a full tune then maybe it is not too far out of line. If it was me I would do the install myself and then take it to get tuned while staying out of boost.
