Exhaust bore

Hey guys, I'm based in the UK and will be looking to turbo my GT86 soon. I have the TRD version so it has the quad exhaust setup as standard. I'm looking to keep quad tip because of the rear cutouts but I will need to swap it out for something with a larger diameter pipe.

The thing is... there seems to be nothing available over here that's up to the job and custom fabrication is either a complete rip off or the quality of the job is crap, our boys don't seem to be able to build anything to the same standard as you guys over in the US without pulling your pants down and bending you over in the process! Plus you never know how good (or sh*t as the case may be) a custom system will sound.

I really like the Blitz Nur C-Ti quad tip system but the exhaust bore is only 60mm. Now don't get me wrong I'm not chasing huge figures. My target is 300whp/350flywheel and I'm looking to run either a GT2871r or a GTX2867r at 8psi on a standard block with our 98RON fuel which is the equivalent of your 93 pump gas I believe. Will a 60mm bore exhaust be capable of flowing this or is it too restrictive? Answers on a postcard! Thanks

There is also the @Touge Factory quad tip exhaust, but it's a pretty similar size at 63.5mm inside diameter. Pretty though. Quad tip exhausts don't have a lot of options, unfortunately.

Capable of that flow? Probably not. You'd need maybe 11-12 psi. If the sound is too good to pass up, the engine can hold 11-12 psi just make sure you go to a very reputable tuner. The engine lasts only as long as the tune.

Do you mean I'd need 10-12psi purely because of the exhaust bore being too small? Ie. If I did go for a 3" system instead that 300whp is achievable off a lower boost because it flows easier? And if so would 8psi suffice with a 3" system?
