i believe it when i see it in person. FRS/BRZ was inspired from AE86 and this will totally change its characteristic.

If the rumor comes from Australia, don't believe it. Motoring.au is notorious for reporting rumors that are poorly informed, misconstrued, and seemingly just made up most of the time.

Ya, they just keep rehashing the same old statements. The first article is almost the same as one from way back in the spring with 2015 scratched out and 2016 scribbled in (probably in crayon on their draft)
