A special thank you from the 86Fest Staff!

I posted this in another thread but thought it appropriate to post it again here!

Hey guys I really appreciate all of the feedback both positive and negative. I apologize on behalf of the staff for any inconveniences caused. It was a hectic day and the organization of stuff could have definitely been better.

The event definitely had some drawbacks when in the planning stages due to some conflicts which I cannot discuss in public but it was bad enough that 86Fest almost did not happen. The venue change was not something we originally intended and it put production of the event and planning in such a tight spot I'm surprised this was pulled off as well as it seemed. We as the 86Fest crew appreciate any and all feedback both positive and negative on how to improve on the event! We are working with some amazing people who have tremendously helped our event actually happen and it couldn't have been done without them. We all hope to bring you a better event next time and once again, if anyone has any suggestions, comments, feedback and etc. feel free to contact me here or fill out the contact form on 86fest.com !!

Thank you guys both attendees and all of the vendors for coming and making this event happen! We love the community and this event is not for us and nor any kind of profit. This event is for YOU in the community! We poured out heart and soul into this with many sleepless nights and almost lost the event this year but thanks to your support we made it happen. Again please feel free to contact us. Love you all!

we'll definitely have more next year and we're going to have a separate track day soon!

And autocross will definitely be in the planning for next time!

Given how little time you guys had to plan everything, I'd say it was pretty well done...

although some of the complaints are valid, compared to a lot of shows i used to go to back in the day, this past weekend didn't seem as terrible as some of the comments in the other thread. but then again, i also think a lot of "internet forum peoples" are spoiled lil brats anyway. hahah

I think the main thing is that people need stuff to do when they're idling. Last year we had Speed Ventures and the autocross to spectate so there was things for us to do while resting. I thought the venue change was intentional, because it was advertised that the event was moved due to "more" vendors going to be there. Would of been cool if there was a more variety of vendors not selling nearly the same stuff (or at least it felt like it and I'm probably exaggerating). Would of been cool for some more Japan only things to have been there or even a TRD vendor or a vendor selling TRD products.

Use more time to plan and organize an event. If there's no time, don't have one... Have heard lots of complaints from this year's event.

Hopefully next year's is better. Hopefully there are people who will participate and or attend.

It was a great event! Lots of big name vendors. Getting big named companies like greddy and evasive as well as the others isn't easy to do. People would pay just to even see these cars parked in person. And the event went by well in my opinion. Thank you to those who supported this event! And thank you to those who even came to check out the event for their first time!
