Good tinter on the west side of puget sound? Kitsap/Silverdale

I am looking for a recommendation on a tinter in Silverdale/Kitsap, there is a lot in here for Seattle but I don't want to drive an hour. I may end up having to, if so who have you used lately that you would recommend?

James at California Tint.

Where to: Seattle Area Window Tint

What's a good shop that has the skills at a reasonable price for tinting windows?

Pretty new to the area and don't know any shops

Touge_ninja 09-14-2014 05:44 PM

There's a tint directory up on the sticky. Might wanna use that first....

I just got my car's polish and CQuartz UK application done at Polished Image in Tacoma. I can't recommend Brian's service highly enough. The car came out absolutely stunning, not a single swirl, the first wash was free, and he coached me on how to take care of it.

Granted, it was a brand new car with very minor swirls, but I have never seen any of my cars look that good. He's an artist.

I had my first BRZ done at Northwest Auto Tint in Lacey, it's down the street from my house. They have tons of options, and really high quality tint for VERY reasonable prices. I got ceramic 35 front/25 rear that was awesome at blocking heat.

I got my second done through Polished image, although I don't know which nearby shop he took it to. All I know is it was a damn good job as well, but a little more pricey (used SunTek Carbon).

Both shops applied tint over the 3rd brake light without the cut-out, which I find to be ugly.

Good morning guys,

Looking for a reputable shop that can fully align my AE86

Not looking to spend a arm and a leg. I used to get my S13 with all aftermarket suspension parts aligned for around $200 in florida.

I am located in South King, would prefer close to my area

starscream1201 07-22-2015 04:26 PM

For anyone in the NW Washington area, Car Stereo Plus is a great shop to bring your FR-S/BRZ to. We have a location in Mt. Vernon right off I-5 at the college way exit, as well as one in Lynnwood on 164th!

15limited 11-13-2015 09:45 AM

I am also looking for a shop with an alignment rack if anybody can think of one off the top of their head. I realise a lot of these shops do instals and engine tuning, does suspension tuning kind of come hand in hand with that?

Does anyone have any suggestions besides speedzone in Lakewood to put an x5 lip on my car and paint? I did the friend job that has failed miserably and just want my car pretty again

DrifterD 01-06-2017 08:14 PM

Anyone know a place near Manzanita, OR that can do a Pre Buyers Inspection? Trying to buy this car here: http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/5934597196.html

Seller had recommended Lums Auto Center but wondering if there any other place you folks can recommend.

Thanks!

Like many others, I am looking for a good alignment shop in the Seattle area. I am not too picky on price, as long as the job is quality and they are willing to take the time to set the alignment up to my specifications. I also would like to have my car corner balanced.

Please let me know if you have had any good experiences!!

I have been taking mine into firestone in smokey point since I've had it. I got the lifetime (of the vehicle) alignment for I think $180ish and I have it done 2 times a year when I swap tires for winter/summer

Do they let you tell them what parameters you want for camber/toe? I don't just want to make sure I'm within factory specs, which most shops will only let you do..

Not sure. I never asked about that.

That's probably a no. For large companies there's too much liability, and generally not enough employee knowledge, to allow customers to request their own specifications.

That's what I figured. I already looked into the Firestone in Totem Lake and they won't let me, so I was hoping that maybe another site would be more lenient.

Yeah Les Schwab was a no go in my area. I'd try asking in a local auto X/drifting group.

Searching for a shop capable and willing to press out oem bushings and weld in solid diff riser bushings, would also include notching/reinforcing subframe.

Thank you! I was about to just start calling around and see who would help, but Chase Race actually looks like a pretty good option!

Not really a forum person. But I'm interested in finding a shop that can tune a Jackson racing supercharger on my car. I have headers installed. I wanted to get the tune it yourself kit and take it somewhere. Who is best for that in the area? I'm a helicopter mechanic and I think I have the charger install covered. But when it comes to the computer shit I don't have any support. Would I need to trailer my car to said shop? I live in Salem and there just seems to be shops in Portland or Eugene. Which is best for my setup?

Bob at drift office is a great option, I had him tune my NA brz.
I had the chance to walk around and talk with the owner of PSI in Hillsboro a couple years ago as well, those guys would be a great option that is much closer. Very impressive facility, dyno booth you can watch trim the lobby as well.

Kalamakid 03-20-2017 01:17 AM

Thanks for the info. I'll have to hit him up. Appreciate the help guys!

a lot of the pdx folks love Vit . He's in Eugene. Both bob and Vit I would say are great options.

Anyone know if any of the shops can tune with oft? I have it now with a base tune for my turbo and not wanting to spend the extra $300 on a ecutek license to get tuned lol.

Your asking a shop to learn a new platform for 1 or 2 cars when every other car uses ecutech. I think your better off with getting in touch with shiv and sending him logs and to do an etune

FTW tuning in Eugene does open source tuning for the ft86 platform. They can also tune with OFT and Ecutek, but prefer open source for N/A and OFT for F/I. Going to get my open source N/A stage 2 tune from them next Monday.

I'll fix it tonight.

Brayden_23 08-11-2017 09:07 PM

Neighbor kid age 2 ran into my passenger door on his scooter and continued to push it all alongside the door. Now I have about a 3 foot long scratch and some muddy hand prints to match.

Anybody have any good recommendations for a shop to get this fixed? I am in the Seattle area, east side of the lake.

TIA!
