CNC and Speedware definitely belong then. 425, not so much. They're basically just retail.

DarrenDriven 10-29-2012 02:37 PM

Added CNC and Speedware.

Anybody know anything about PIA (Pacific Import Auto) in the Parkland/Spanaway WA area?
I've heard the name thrown around in the Suby community (highly praised) but don't have any personal experience with them.

Are there any quality shops in the actual Seattle "metro" area?

All of the shops listed under the "Seattle Metro" heading in this thread are well outside the Seattle Metro area by 25min or more.

Touge_ninja 02-19-2013 11:05 PM

There is one in seattle called Kansai Motorsports, but they are ok. Drift office and ishii motors are top picks but worth the drive.

Silver86 02-20-2013 10:11 PM

Okay thanks a ton :D

I was looking at Drift Office. They seems to have good word of mouth and I've been able to find a lot of information on other projects Drift office has worked on.

Does Drift Office do maintenance or are they strictly upgrades and tuning? I've never had good experiences with dealership maintenance crews.

Any recommendations on places to get tinting done? There is a shop called "The Darkside" near 140th and Lake City Way NE. They have great yelp reviews (pages of 5 stars reviews) and it seems the owner (Carlos) deals personally with clients and doesn't try to up sell.

Touge_ninja 02-20-2013 10:15 PM

Might wanna ask bob that since he does own the place :)

baxter7893 02-23-2013 11:37 PM

How about Maxwell Power Services in Marysville.

Mnoland9 02-25-2013 09:56 PM

Someone asked about PDX Tuning earlier. They are still in business. Jarrad (one of the owners I believe) installed my Perrin exhaust system for me recently. Great guy who really knows his stuff. Highly recommended.

kioton32 04-14-2013 09:01 PM

What sucks is I have to drive 4-7 hours to get to a decent tuning shop... Haven't found any good ones in Spokane/CDA... Everyone over here travels or tries doing self tunes.

There really aren't any for us. I think there's a shop in the tricities, but other than that its a drive over the mountains for us.... unless we swap over to the WRX platform, which I'm not doing.

I am going to be buying a set of coilovers soon. I was wondering if anyone in the area knew of a good alignment shop in the PDX area, perferably on the west side.

Group 2 does great work too, race preparation, race alignments, etc. They're a dealer for OS Giken (diffs, etc.) also I believe.

Reputable shops in the Seattle area

Does anyone have any opinions on some good shops in the Seattle area? I'm looking for a place to help install mods that I rather not do myself. I'd prefer them to be pretty professional as well lol. Thanks for the input

Good thread to start in. But as @Marchy said Ishii and drift office are fantastic

nelsmar 07-21-2014 11:20 PM

I don't know who ishii is but drift office is fairly replicable and I would let them work on my own car :)

FatFree 07-22-2014 08:57 PM

Ok cool, thanks guys. So Ishii and Drift Office both sound pretty good. I just need them for some pretty simple stuff that I just don't want to deal with. For instance, I'm thinking about getting a smoked reverse light but I don't want to mess with wiring and I rather just pay someone to do it for me. Also, maybe something like a whiteline positive bushing kit or other similar mods. Any others?

Sleepless 07-23-2014 12:26 AM

Cantrell Motorsports in Bellevue do all the work my cars.

yeah pretty sure reverse lights / tails are plug and play.. at least the ones i've seen. some tails require you to pop in a LED relay under the dash though.

Seabrz 07-24-2014 02:45 AM

Does anyone know a really good detail shop for paint correction? I've had some swirls in the paint since I got it and I'd really like to get rid of them

Maybe I'll look at the DIY again but I'm pretty sure you have to do some minor wiring adjustments. It could be totally simple but even just snaking the wire through the trunk is something I don't feel like doing...

Polished Image in Tacoma is my go-to for that kind of stuff.
