Super Trax @ Zwartkops Raceway - Monthly events
 

Hi Guys

I decided to create this thread to create awareness of the Super Trax events that happen at Zwartkops Raceway on a monthly basis.

When:

Where:
Zwartkops Raceway

Cost:

R430 per driver;
R60 per passenger;

R160 for Skidpan FULL Day ;
R30 Skidpan passengers

Classes:

Class A - Vehicles 2 Litre and up

Class B - Vehicles smaller than 2 litre and novice

Class C - Racing Cars (limited 93 db)

Sessions will run approximately 20 minutes each.

What do I need to know:
Bring own helmets with. Trax days are available for the public to test their road vehicles performance and handling on Zwartkops race track. Driver instructors available on the day at no extra cost. Registration takes place on the day, no advance bookings required. Indemnity to be signed at registration. Only valid road worthy vehicles and valid licensed holders. Registration starts at 07h30. Drivers briefing at 09h30.
Track close at 16h00.


(Please note that you don't need a helmet for the skidpan)

Great meet for JHB 86 drivers, with regulars like @Freedom and @qbzee007 who are there every month!

Learn how to control and handle your 86. (You will be shocked at how much you learn in a short space of time...)

Welcomed a new GT86 owner in the Gauteng area:thumbsup:, Limited 86 with a hot set of pearl white rims to compliment his awesome driving skills!

Fun, relaxing day, awesome seeing all the guys, a few cheerleaders:confused0068:a HOT SKYLINE GTR and other cars (Scoobies, c63's, mx5's, bmw's, s2000's etc) have fun both on the track and skidpan

Hang on, this happened yesterday? how did i miss this, I was looking at the calender because for some reason I woke up yesterday with an urge to Hit the track for a few laps lol. I was so upset when the even this week wednesday was cancelled due to a product launch! I would have so been there!!! Dying to try my MR2 out with my new setup......

I saw that the Kyalami track day on Wednesday was cancelled.
Is that what you're talking of, or was there also something planned for Zwartkops?

I still want to do a track day at Kyalami someday, but it's sooo expensive for very little track time... :cry:

Also cant believe i missed this.
Was on my way back from Limpopo as this was happening!! Now I have to wait a whole month!!!

I was pretty sure it was next week.

Anyways best believe that I lost a milimeter or two during my stay in Limpopo over the weekend :)

Zwartkops has open practice every wednesday. The event that happened yesterday isnt even showing on the calender! Im so annoyed.

Theres VW club track day coming up at kyalami on the 5th of next month, but i have not driven around kyalami yet and im a bit nervous, Ripped around zwartkops many many times so i know that track very well already.

The entrance fee for the club day is like 750 for non members which is very steep.

ok Hang on, I missed that it happened on sunday, Not so bummed anymore, why did i read it like it happened yesterday? the calender is a bit confusing with sunday at the end and monday at the begining. need to be a little bit more attentive when i read things

I get invites to the Kyalami track days organised by SA Superbikes.
They also take cars, but it's mainly bikes, so car track time is limited and it costs R1200 :bonk:

I'm also a bit nervous about Kyalami but for me it's a bucket list item - one day...
A wise man once told me - on a racetrack it's 100% your choice how fast you go, and how much risk you choose to take.

I'm reasonably familiar with Zwartkops, but I mainly track on Midvaal, and I try to get there once a month.

BTW, I saw somewhere that Red Star Raceway is lightening up and starting to allow cars too.
Until recently, it was only bikes and Inex Legends.
Edit: Aha, found where I saw it...

red star looks awesome, but the site says only bikes, wonder when they plan to let cars on?
