New asian copy curved intake pipes
Ignoring the claims of "Adds X HP" (may as well say 1000 jiggawatts), does anyone have one and know if they have an opening on the under side for the post-filter resonator? The pictures don't show the under side but do show an extra rubber plug and clamp.

Those actually don't look too bad.

Yeah they've copied the branded curvy polished aluminium shape which copied the perrin hose shape i think. I found out there's no resonator hole, but it's probably no big deal. I'd be more worried about heat soak compared to rubber/silicone.

If they don't have the wire strengthener in the silicon tube like the perrin they may deform with heat / vacuum. Although it looks like hard plastic hence the two bits of flexible hose to connect each end and 4 clamps. Just more points of possible failure The airfilter may be dodgy not sure i would trust it. so without that its not much price diff to perrin car mods australia at gold coast have perrin one you could pick up. http://www.carmodsaustralia.com.au/p...hose-pspint430 even the perrin one is worth naff all hp. Just plug up the sound tube hole on stock inlet with a conduit end and hose clamp. :D |
Yeah I wasn't considering those ones, there's another seller at coopers plains with it for about $110.
I'd chuck the filter, using apexi already. The first link states "T-6061 Billet Aluminum". I think the rubber cap is for the resonator in front of the filter, which is a fucking stupid idea. |
