No front plate in NH?

My BRZ was delivered and I found out that they did not put any mounting holes in the front bumper for a license plate. I love the look without a front plate, but I know it's illegal in NH. Having never run without both plates, I don't know how picky most police in NH are in that regard. Should I bring it back to the dealer to have holes drilled in, do it myself, or just wait and see if I get pulled over and claim the dealer never drilled holes there?

Maybe go this route.

I'm not a fan of the staggered license plate look, but it's already growing on me, that may be a route to go.

You drill holes , I will drive there and slap you. :paddle:
Just kidding.

RHO is working on a product too.

I did buy the GrimmSpeed and I will put it on as soon as I get my plate. :happyanim:

I'm gonna have 'em drill mine, I don't like the offset look either. The mustache needs to be covered up as much as possible! lol.

You can always try the tow hook solution and see how you like it and get the bumper drilled later if you don't like it.

That would be funny if you actually drove from Cali to New Hampshire and walked up to his door just to say, "What did the hand say to the face."

"SLAP"

Yesterday I noticed someone didn't have a front licence plate parked outsides the gym I go to, but instead they had some novelty cartoon plate.

I ran with no front plates here in maine for 3.5 years. Never got pulled over once for it, although i had to tip tie the front plate on to get it inspected.

WRXGuy1 06-01-2012 09:13 PM

I forgot about inspections... I probably will get holes drilled just so it's one less reason for a cop to pull me over if I'm going a bit too fast. And as Turbowned said, it helps cover the "mustache".

Gaahhh!! I want my car! Can you do me a favor and tell the other guy who ordered the white limited that the car is awful so he backs out and I can have it?:D

taosracer 06-01-2012 10:22 PM

I'll do what I can to dissuade him from buying such an impractical vehicle ;)

I used to use a tow hook plate mount on my MINI. I would occasionally "forget" to put it back on. I got pulled over once for not having it installed. I had a semi-legitimate reason: I'd been ice-racing on Newfound Lake and had to get pulled out of a snow bank. At least once. *ahem* :)

I liked keeping the front of the car clean, but I was constantly walking into it. I think I still have a scar on my shin… In the end, having it mounted normally was just easier to live with. It's not a show car.
