Arizona run 9/30 or 10/1
 

Hey guys, I'm proposing a run for one of those days. Thats either a tuesday or a wednesday. I'm putting it out early so people have enough time. This will be an all day run, but awesome. I'm proposing an 89 run from wickenburg to flagstaff, BUT, a really neat photo op to end it.

We'll meet up at either 8am or 9am at the chevron gas station at West point parkway and Bell rd, right near grand and bell. From there, we'll drive out to wickenburg, and head up the 89. We'll travel through yarnell, prescott, through the mountains into Jerome. We can have lunch in jerome if we want. From there, we'll take the 89 through cottonwood and up into Sedona. From there, we'll continue up to flagstaff. We'll hop on the I40 and get off on 64, taking it north. We'll be on there for a few minutes and end up at the Red Butte Airfield. This was the original Grand Canyon airfield back in the day. It's abandoned now, but would make for an amazing photo op. The road to get there is dirt, but we shouldn't have any problems. Once done, we can take the 40 to the I17 and head back to phoenix. Who's in?

Not from Phoenix but it might be a good excuse to see my girlfriend. I'll see if I can make it

It's a work day during a week where I'm working extra hours Monday through Thursday b/c I'm road tripping out to CA (to a small place right between SD & LA) for a long weekend.

So, sorry, can't do it.

its understandable thata lot of people will be working. I've got 2 people interested in going so far

Heck yes; I might be able to make it out again but will no more as the date approaches.
Usually easier for me to make a Tuesday than a Wednesday.

Same route as last time with the addition of the airport?

Yea pretty much take 89 all the way to flag, hit up the airport, then i17 back.

This is tough for me because I am in SirBrass' shoes. I am leaving for A suburb of Orange County, CA that thursday / Friday. Just don't have the money to through into extra fuel

Hm. I am not sure if i can even make it to either, but it would be easier to make it on Wednesday than Tuesday.

I would suggest to do this further in the future next time (a month or so in advanced) so people can plan accordingly. Also, weekends > weekdays. :thumbsup:

Tuesday is better for us since that is our day off but I understand if it makes more sense to go on Wednesday.

If Tuesday is confirmed; count us in again!

Ok, I'm going to shoot for tuesday as the day to do this. Sounds like more people may have the ability to go tuesday. Anyone able to go?
