Dealership won't tell me the ETA of my FRS :[
 

just like the title reads.
I put the hold money($500) about a month ago, and the dealership told me that I would be getting my car on the date of release date, which is June first.(today!)
Scion of Glendora promised me to follow up on me but they never really did.

I called today and they told me still haven't received my car.
however they got all the other FRS red,lava, blue and black w auto trans.

what I ordered was black/manual trans...
anyway they still does not know the ETA of my car and I am really disappointed.

what should I do? just wait like a dumbass? or get my hold money back and try other dealers?
I was planning on going to Willow Springs raceway on 9th but now I don't even know if I can go anymore. FML

you ordered raven 6mt but it doesn't mean that the dealer has that car.

did you get a vin from your dealer showing that car?

if not then they dont even have the car.

it's not on their allocation

is there a way for me to locate my car once I get my VIN?

I will call them tomorrow and ask for the VIN.

the dealer can tell whether your car is at sea, at port, or on the truck by the vin

if they dont have the vin, sorry man they dont have your car in their system

you will have to wait until they get allocated with a raven 6MT


also dont talk to the salesman. ask for the new car director

most salesman dont know what their doing with these new cars coming in

FYI. My car was in Japan in queue to ship and they were able to provide me with my VIN last week at the time. You should be able to get yours soon. :) A month ago they told me June 1st too. After providing the VIN they said mid-june.

If your dealer is anything like mine, they won't know their allocation until the 4th. FUUUUUUUUUU.

Scion (or Toyota in general) doesn't have a true "ORDER" system. The best we can do is "preference" our requests (aka our in-dealer order list) and they will adhere to providing those vehicles first and follow it up with filler if additional units are available.

So even if you're #1 on a list of 3, if the dealer only gets 3 in and they are the wrong color, you're SOL. With Ultramarine being a rare production right now, we're receiving tons of Whiteout and Asphalt to fulfill our orders, but with the few Ultramarine showing up, those orders may end up taking longer "than normal" to get.

Tell your dealer to PREFERENCE your vehicle and they will have a better chance to obtain it. If they can't get it on this allocation, you may want to try getting your deposit back. They can request some changes to accommodate your order if they speak to their Scion rep when doing allocation.

We have about 3 people requesting Raven Manual, so you may be good for a late July/early August delivery from Longo ;) Just sayin'

SO, I called... and got my VIN number
where can i put the VIN number and find out the location of my frs?
(dealership promised me to call back within 3 hours with allocation of my frs)

I really need my frs because I have been living car-less for two month because I got in a car accident on March... and I have been borrowing my friends car time to time.
It really sucks.
I don't even know why they made empty promises in the first place.
I would have bought the WRX if they told me that I can't be able to obtain the car before June 1st. Now, it's too late to do anything.

If you have a full 17-digit VIN, it's at the port of LA. It should arrive at the dealer within a week.

Using very broad terms, if they're not a "highly-regarded" dealership, chances are they'll be a "low-priority" delivery dealership. I got 4 FR-S's just yesterday. If you have a feeling there's something wrong, don't buy from that dealership.

Plan on bugging them until they find out the exact date of arrival.

They already broke the promise once, so I don't expect them to do
well, they actually broke twice.

Promised to call me back before 6pm. They didn't.
I had to call them first and now i'm on hold for 5 minutes.

I just want to pay up front and get my car already.
never really planning on going back to dealership anyway after I get the car.

I called West Covina scion and asked if they have the raven 6spd and they said no. Then fleet manager continues saying he could do the dealer trade that is in about 200miles. He tells me to come down to the dealership. I told him that i have a ride to get down to the dealership but does not have a ride back. Then he tells me it's all taken care of because west covina scon has shuttle service. Do i was like cool. Ok i will go down there and sign the contract. I come down here and found out that they sell the frs for 6000 dollars over the MSRP. Also for me he told me that i would have to pay extra for shipping since tjey are doing dealer trade.
This is where it get even more interesting.
I told the fleet manager that there is no way in hell im going to pay 6000!!!!!! Over the msrp and requested shuttle service. He tells me,
Sorry, shuttle service is closed.
So there I am, sitting here in front of west covina scion dealership like a dumbass waiting for my friend to pick me up.

I'm pretty sure i'm mad right now. But too mad to the point where i gave up on everything. Anyway thanks for reading my rant. I will try to look for other dealership starting tomorrow. July or august is way too late for me tho :(

Honesty, i just want to get subaru wrx and get everything over with.
Lastly i am going to file a complaint over all these issues to head quarter. If they don't do anything about it? I may just visit the hq myself sincey parents live in torrance lol
