Congrats. Can you describe how fast is brz in mt. I test drove frs at. It so fast like under 6...should be at 5.9s; this is too fast for any 200hp car I know of.

I agree. The car is above my expections as far as the power. I haven't taken it past 4k (4.5k rpm once by accident passing some grandma). The low end grunt and the quick throttle responce is a really nice change from having a big turbo car.

Thanks! I went through Bob (forget his last name), super nice guy. I had to go to Boston last night so he drove my car to my house so I had it when I got home. Only 12 miles on it when I picked it up!

I've been talking with Bob via email lately. Definitely seems like a nice guy.

lol...did you change your mind with the color or just couldnt wait 2-3 days more???

Laika 06-01-2012 06:40 PM

Noooo you left the GBS crew!

WRXGuy1 06-01-2012 09:09 PM

Well I originally wanted a WRB, but when I heard there was a GBS available I opted for that. I really could go either way, but when I saw it at the dealer I knew this was the color for me, I like having a car that stands out a bit more.

As far as power goes, I'm coming from a 2011 Legacy 2.5i, so the BRZ seems like a rocket compared to that. I love the torque at the low-end, you don't have to hit 4K RPM's to feel the car move when you get on it, which makes it appear faster at city speeds. It has exceeded my expectations for power.

I have to say though, having all the stares as I'm driving and people giving me thumbs up really is a unique experience!

Keene got the cars today at 11:30 A.M. Couldn't wait, or did Manchester give you abetter deal ?

industrial 06-01-2012 11:20 PM

Nice job OP! I think you got the car I originally ordered and cancelled. I decided to go with the limited instead! Picked it up today from Manchester Subaru. Gary is the man! I spoke with Bob alot yesterday too.

Since this thread needs more WRB. :happy0180:

That blue is my favorite color-- man, it looks awesome. But man, those exhaust tips look really little, is that just from the vantage point?

Nope they are small and recessed like that. At least it's easily fixed! The car needs a little exhaust love as is anyway.

It really wasn't either of those. After seeing more photos of the GBS I both liked it and didn't like it, as some of the photos made it appear purple I was started to second guess myself. I didn't mind waiting a few more days as I already knew Keene was getting them a couple days later, but I'd rather only have to drive 15 minutes to the dealer than over an hour if something happened. Besides, I get free yearly inspections at Manchester.

Haha, could be! The only accessory was the wheel locks, which I appreciated as I didn't care to spend more than was necessary.

They are on the small side, but it's not bothering me at the moment.

I do agree that the knobs in the limited look better.

One question I have is how the knobs light up at night. Does the background color look red, like the other controls?

I just did the same thing! I just picked up my SWP Manual Limited BRZ from Ed Reilly Subaru. I love this car!
