Typically you'd need to have it ordered through a body shop since they sell them unpainted, and they'd have to match the paint on your car.

With that kind of damage there is a good chance you misaligned the fenders, or caused damage behind the bumper. Take it to a shop.

This is what insurance is for... You paid for it, use it. There's a possibility that there's much more damage than you think there is. Sure, you could put a band-aid over it now, but you'll most likely run into problems down the road.

I don't understand why people pay so much money for insurance to cover them in cases like these... but then don't use it.

I dunno, I paid 3500 out of pocket once when I had a single car accident. I don't think a single car accident should be reported to insurance if the damage is not that much. But if you can't afford it what choice do you have?

Single car accident is a huge red flag to insurance.

aznatama 09-15-2014 11:19 AM

I have no idea what the numbers are for insurance, but assuming insurance premium goes up $50/mo (which is a LOT for just one minor accident), and stays up for ~3yrs before dropping back down. That's $1800 more spent on insurance over 3 yrs.

Compare this to spending 3500 up front (likely more in OP's case, if he takes it to a good shop and they fix EVERYTHING).

It's a no brainer for me. Small fender benders I'll fix myself. no point w/ 700 in dmg - 500 deductible = 200 out of pocket. But for a large fix like OP's case, I'd file a claim.

Single Vehicle Accidents are not that uncommon... swerving to avoid deer, for example. But since OP already told the world that he fell asleep at the wheel...

If we don't have anyone parting out in the forum with the parts you are looking for I would suggest eBay. I was just on there last night and someone is parting out some ultramarine blue (from what it looked like) on eBay. I did see the support bumper but I don't remember the bumper molding or hood.

Otherwise, what may be best is purchasing any pieces you can find, sanding it, prime it, and then bring it to an auto body place to have it painted. OR you can have it plasti dipped or poweder coated. You could possibly go with a nice carbon fiber aftermarket hood too. You have many choices. Best of luck.

i tried to look for it again and i dont see any ultramarine bumper most of the results are foglights and lips i did see a bumper its black and has scratched on it. actually im looking at this site villagescionparts (google) its like they have everything the only thing i dont know is that if i need to buy also the bolts and stuff for the bumper. i also called toyota care and they said they can provide it for $380 something, no bolts and unpainted.

I feel like you need a parent or friend to help you through this process. Have you thought about just calling your insurance agent? Or taking it to a body shop for an estimate?

aznatama 09-15-2014 04:19 PM

Insurance will cover it under collision. If you have a loan, you have collision. If you paid it off, and are only paying for state minimum gimp crap coverage, then perhaps not.

aznatama 09-15-2014 04:20 PM

Seems in place is not in place nor is it undamaged. You need to get a body shop to inspect it.
